Our Story
Perch's story began when we built and opened in August 2015 our first restaurant on Lancing Beach. Five years later, we expanded our reach to Eastbourne opening in July 2020. Our journey reached a new milestone with the complete renovation of the Southern Pavilion at the end of Worthing Pier which officially opened as Perch on the Pier in April 2022.
Whether you join us for breakfast, lunch or dinner our aim is to consistently provide customers with impeccable service, to have them leave our restaurant impressed and excited to come back again.
Perch on Lancing Beach
2015
In 2011, we acquired the building that would later become Lancing Perch. Our commitment to sustainability led us to bring on board architects who specialised in zero-carbon design and development to transform the space. Lancing Perch officially opened in August 2015 with a small team of 11 members, and today we are proud to have a team of over 40 dedicated individuals. Our flagship location boasts the distinction of being the largest carbon-zero building in the South East of England, with a roof covered in solar panels that generate energy to power the café and gym.
Perch in Princes Park
2020
Our journey in Eastbourne began in March 2020 when we purchased the building. The unforeseen circumstances of the first lockdown meant that pushed back our opening. This however gave us some extra time to spend on the refurbishment. We officially welcomed guests back in July and have been dedicated to growing our team and enhancing our offerings for our valued customers ever since.
Perch on Worthing Pier
2022
In September 2019, we embarked on a new chapter with the purchase of the Southern Pavilion building at the end of Worthing Pier. This marked the beginning of our most ambitious project yet, a full renovation of the space. The dedication and hard work of our team paid off when we officially opened the doors to the public in April 2022. The positive reception we received has been a source of immense pride and joy for our team.
